Zelenskyy: Ukraine ready for peace and mineral deal ‘at any time in any convenient format’

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the English-speaking community via social network X.

“My team and I are ready to work under the strong leadership of President Trump to achieve lasting peace,” Zelensky said.

The first steps for this, according to Zelensky, could be the release of prisoners and a truce in the skies – a ban on missiles, long-range drones, and bombing of energy infrastructure, as well as a truce at sea – provided Russia agrees to the same measures.

Zelensky explained that he appreciated everything America has done to help Ukraine and admitted that the White House meeting didn’t go the way it should have. “It’s very unfortunate that this happened. It’s time to put things right. We would like future cooperation and communication to be constructive,” the president added.

In addition, Zelensky said, Ukraine is ready to sign “an agreement on minerals and security at any time and in any convenient format.”

It’s inspiring to see a leader genuinely seeking peace and willing to take practical steps, even amid such difficult circumstances. Hoping that these calls for truce and cooperation lead to real progress because the world truly needs it right now 🌍✌️

Reading this makes me wonder if international politics could use a bit more straightforward honesty and a lot less drama. The idea of a truce that includes banning missiles and drones sounds like the dream halftime show between rounds in a boxing match nobody wants to see. Also, the mention of mineral agreements feels like the real adult conversation at a family dinner—everyone nodding but hoping to change the subject soon. If only global leaders handled conflicts as candidly as a group of friends planning weekend plans, maybe we’d all sleep a little better at night.
