Ukraine ready for ceasefire, US to resume military aid

The USA has agreed during talks in Saudi Arabia to resume military assistance to Ukraine and intelligence exchange, Reuters has reported. Kiev, in turn, expressed readiness to accept the US proposal for a 30-day ceasefire.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said he would present the proposal to the Russian side.

“We hope that the Russians will say yes as soon as possible so that we can move to the second phase, which involves real negotiations,” Rubio said.

Vladimir Zelensky said the ceasefire was a “positive proposal” that encompassed the entire front line in the conflict, not just the fighting in the air and at sea.

In addition, Washington and Kiev agreed on a deal on rare earth metals.

US President Donald Trump, in turn, said that the meeting of the Russian and American delegation will be held on March 11 or 12. He also expressed hope that Russia would agree to a ceasefire.

A 30-day ceasefire is a good start, but real negotiations must address the root causes of the conflict. Let’s see if both sides are genuinely committed to finding a peaceful resolution.

It’s interesting to see a 30-day ceasefire proposal being considered seriously by both sides, which could open the door for meaningful negotiations. The inclusion of rare earth metals in the discussions adds another layer to these talks, showing how multifaceted this conflict is. Hopefully, this leads to some tangible progress soon 🤞🌍

This sounds like a real diplomatic soap opera 🍿🤦‍♂️! Military aid back on the table, a ceasefire proposal that everyone hopes will actually happen, and surprise surprise—rare earth metals making a cameo 🤔. Can’t wait to see which plot twist comes next, but somehow I’m not holding my breath for peace just yet 😅🕊️.

This development gives a glimmer of hope amid such a complex and challenging situation. The willingness to engage in dialogue and consider a ceasefire could pave the way for meaningful progress. It’s encouraging to see both sides at least open to talks and potential cooperation on important issues beyond the immediate conflict. Hopefully, this marks the beginning of a path toward peace rather than prolonged confrontation.
