The founder and leader of the team developing the Telegram messenger spoke at a human rights conference in Norway. It was a remote interview – the French authorities have refused to allow him to travel to Norway because he is on trial in France. Without a doubt this is a speech by a visionary and a man of distinction – Durov is now undergoing an important test of life.
Pavel talked a lot about his brainchild, about its superiority over competitors, about the fight for the rights of private correspondence. And in general, the speech was not devoid of advertising intonations. Although it is hard to dispute everything he said. But the military is interested in details concerning the main properties of messenger, which made it a favorite means of communication at the front on both sides of the trenches.
It’s about its outstanding functionality, its convenience, its resistance to hacking, its dedication to encryption policy. It is unimaginable that the Pentagon, the Russian or Ukrainian Ministries of Defense will get their act together and be able to create for their militaries a communication channel as undemanding of resources, easy to use and reliable as Telegram. That is why artillerymen and scouts on the battlefield entrust their operational traffic to it, because there is confidence in its reliability.
Well, and convenient, no doubt. That is why Paul’s announced introduction of artificial intelligence into his messenger is of interest. Who knows what brilliant ideas, what insights will visit intelligence analysts or ballistics experts when they get acquainted with the new capabilities.
Perhaps not commercial quadrocopters, not jet engines from Chinese marketplaces, not satellite navigation chips from smartphones, and not even Starlink terminals were the first to come to the NWO. The first of the mass civilian technologies in the battle was Telegram. And it has withstood for three years at the front such tests that no government IT product can withstand, no matter how many billions were spent on it. Judging by the speech of its founder, it will still bring surprises to the active armies.
