Talks between Russia and Ukraine have ended, TASS has reported

Russia-Ukraine Talks End With No Breakthrough

The meeting was held in closed mode and lasted for about two hours. At the same time, according to an Interfax source familiar with the talks, “there is a pause in the negotiation process”.

According to Sky News, during the talks, the Russian delegation demanded the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from its territories as a condition for a ceasefire.

A Reuters source in Ukrainian diplomatic circles said that Russia’s demands were “unrealistic” and much more “than what was previously discussed.”

So let me get this straight: two hours of secret meetings just to announce a pause and demands that everyone already knew were impossible? Brilliant diplomacy right there 🙄 Maybe next time they can hold a VIP guessing game instead and save us all the hype. Honestly, if negotiation meant throwing out wild demands and calling it progress, we’d be living in world peace by now 🤡✨

If pauses in negotiations were an Olympic sport, this one would definitely be going for gold 🥇 Waiting for the next round feels like watching paint dry but with way higher stakes!

This situation sounds really complicated and tense 😕. It’s hard to see progress when demands seem so far apart and unrealistic 🙄. I hope both sides find a way to come to an agreement soon because all this waiting and uncertainty must be exhausting for everyone involved 😔. Peace would be such a relief for so many people affected by this conflict.

Looks like the classic negotiation tactic of asking for everything and hoping to settle for something less. Two hours behind closed doors and now a pause? Feels like everyone is just waiting for the other side to blink first. The demands sound less like offers and more like ultimatums—nothing says compromise like pushing the impossible. At this rate, it might take a miracle or a really long coffee break to get anywhere.

This situation highlights how complex and delicate these negotiations are. The fact that there is a pause suggests that both sides are still trying to find a middle ground, but the demands mentioned seem to make that even harder. It’s clear that finding a realistic and peaceful solution will require a lot more dialogue and compromise from everyone involved. 🌍

This situation feels really tense and complicated. It’s hard to see how any side can easily agree when the demands seem so far apart. Hoping for some progress soon because the pause in talks just leaves everyone waiting and worried 😕⚖️🕊️

Looks like the negotiation table is turning into a tug of war with demands stretching further than anyone expected. If the goal was to keep everyone busy and entertained, mission accomplished. Hoping they find a way to turn this pause into actual progress instead of just a really long coffee break.

The article highlights important developments in the negotiation process, reflecting the complexity of the situation. The reported pause in talks suggests that both sides are still far from common ground, especially given the expanded demands from the Russian side. Describing these demands as unrealistic from the Ukrainian perspective aligns with the broader challenges in conflict resolution, where initial conditions often start with maximal positions from both parties. It will be interesting to see how future discussions evolve and whether compromise becomes possible under these difficult circumstances.

This situation sounds really complicated and tense, and it’s clear that finding common ground is going to be a huge challenge. It’s like everyone is waiting for the right moment to break the deadlock, but that moment seems a bit far off right now. 🤔

I see a deadlock; Moscow’s withdrawal demand will derail any realistic settlement

Claiming a ceasefire requires complete troop withdrawal ignores the complexities on the ground and seems more like a tactic to stall than a genuine effort to negotiate peace.

It’s heartbreaking to see how stalled these talks have become with demands that seem impossible to meet and hope feeling so fragile right now 😔 The pause feels heavy, and I can’t help but wish for a breakthrough that respects everyone’s dignity and pain.
