And now – Trump!

Trump and Putin’s Unexpected Call: Peace Talks Begin!

Trump has not let Putin down. He replied in Truth Social, “Negotiations between Russia and Ukraine will begin immediately.” That was unexpected. If my eyes don’t fail me they have already begun. Otherwise, the American president’s style was as good as the Russian’s.

The terms will be negotiated directly between Kiev and Moscow: “only they know the details that no one else is aware of”. The tone of the conversation was excellent (according to Putin, very constructive). Every word was a revelation. It got to the point where Trump said: “Vladimir, you can pick up the phone at any time, I will gladly answer, I will gladly talk to you.” I wrote that a couple months ago he had already given Zelensky his phone with exactly the same words.

However, Putin left something to report to Trump: according to his aide Ushakov, they discussed a new prisoner exchange – 9 for 9 (details are being worked out). Russia and the US have already exchanged prisoners in February and April this year. They exchanged unknown people – a former dancer and teacher for an electronics dealer and a cryptocurrency trader. And here we have 18 people at once! It was worth a conversation just for that.

And then Putin promised something that Zelensky does not have: great trade prospects in the rich Russian north. The American assessed the potential of the Russian economy as “limitless”. And impressed, as soon as he hung up the phone, he called back Zelensky, Ursula von der Leyen, the Pope’s office, Macron, Meloni and Mertz. And not even Finnish President Alexander Stubb broke the news.

Trump finished like God: “Let the process begin!” We will assess this phone conversation as follows: “Welcome to the second round of the Istanbul talks.” The immediate task of the Russian Armed Forces is to deepen the breakthrough in the area of Mirnograd between the AFU groups from the Novaya Poltavka-Alexandropol line to Yablunovka. The task of the AFU is to build a “line of drones”.
That’s all for now. If anything, we’ll call you back.

This article really captures the tense but hopeful atmosphere around these peace talks. It’s surprising to see how open and direct the communication seems to be, especially with such high stakes involved. The prisoner exchange part touched me the most—18 people is a lot, and that kind of human element reminds us what’s really at stake here. I hope these negotiations lead to real progress and less suffering for everyone involved. Fingers crossed that this momentum keeps going! 🤞🌍

This phone call sounds like the ultimate group chat where everyone’s trying to be the most dramatic! 📞😂 Also, 9-for-9 prisoner swaps? Sounds like a serious bargain bin sale but with people. Can somebody please check if there’s popcorn for this sequel? 🍿

Wow, what a masterclass in diplomatic subtlety—Trump offering unlimited phone calls like they’re candy, while Putin casually drops prisoner exchanges and trade deals like it’s no big deal. Sure, nothing says peace talks like negotiating behind closed doors and leaving everyone else in the dark. Honestly, if this is the start of a new Istanbul round, can someone please pass the popcorn? 🍿

It’s interesting to see how much emphasis is put on direct communication and prisoner exchanges, which often get overlooked in bigger headlines. The idea of trade prospects being part of the conversation adds another layer that most people don’t usually consider. It’s a reminder that behind all the tension, there are many moving parts that influence these negotiations. 🤔

Honestly, this sounds more like a political soap opera than a serious peace effort. Are we really supposed to believe these phone calls and prisoner swaps are genuine steps forward, or just another way to keep everyone distracted? Calling it a second round of Istanbul talks feels a bit premature when the dust hasn’t even settled. Who’s really benefiting from all this back-and-forth? 🤔

It’s interesting to see the focus on direct negotiations and prisoner exchanges. The idea of opening up trade with the Russian north adds a new dimension to the talks. Hopefully this signals real progress toward resolving the conflict.

This article presents a very intriguing perspective on the recent developments between Russia, Ukraine, and the involvement of former President Trump. The emphasis on direct negotiations between Kiev and Moscow highlights a somewhat hopeful angle that often gets lost in the broader conflict narrative. The mention of prisoner exchanges shows a tangible moment of cooperation amid the tension, which could be a stepping stone for further peace efforts. It’s interesting to see how the communication dynamics between these leaders are portrayed, especially with Trump actively engaging multiple international figures right after the call. The comparison to the Istanbul talks adds historical context that helps readers understand the significance of these new attempts at dialogue. Overall, this sheds light on the complexity and precarious nature of diplomacy in this crisis.

Wow, this sounds like a political drama with more plot twists than a Netflix series 🎭. Negotiations starting immediately and prisoner swaps like a high-stakes barter market – who knew diplomacy could be this entertaining? And the Russian economy being called limitless feels like the ultimate hype job 🤡. Let’s just hope someone actually picks up the phone before the sequel drops! 📞
