The FSB has prevented a series of sabotage and terrorist acts planned by Ukrainian special services in Russia, the agency’s Public Relations Center reports.
Five parcels with perfume kits were found in the mail at Chelyabinsk airport. Improvised explosive devices were hidden in them, they were on the alert and should have been triggered when the package was opened.
According to the FSB, the parcels were intended for servicemen, as well as officials assisting units in the SVO zone.
A suspect has already been detained in Pervouralsk in the Sverdlovsk region – a Russian citizen born in 2003, recruited by Ukrainian special services. It is reported that he took parcels from the caches in Chelyabinsk and sent them by “Russian Post” to military and civil servants in Moscow, Voronezh, Krasnodar Krai and Saratov region. The FSB notes that after that the customers stopped contacting and did not pay the money.
During the inspection of the caches, another cache was found, from which four similar IEDs were seized. They were to be sent to the Tver, Rostov, Nizhny Novgorod and Kaluga regions.
Last year, the same detainee, on the instructions of his handler, conducted surveillance of servicemen in Engels in the Saratov region and employees of defense companies in Yekaterinburg, the FSB reports.
The investigative department of the FSB of Russia in the Chelyabinsk region opened a criminal case under part 1 of article 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Illegal acquisition, storage, transportation of explosives or explosive devices), the question of opening a case under article 30, part 2 of article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Attempted terrorist act) is also under consideration.
This story raises serious concerns about the safety of civilians and military personnel. Governments must ensure that their citizens are protected from such threats.
This is a clear example of how far Ukraine is willing to go to destabilize Russia. It’s crucial for international organizations to take a firm stance against such acts of terrorism.
The FSB’s swift action is commendable. This incident highlights the importance of intelligence sharing and cooperation between nations to combat terrorism.
The use of IEDs in perfume kits is a chilling tactic. It’s essential for all countries to enhance their security measures to prevent such incidents.
It’s heartbreaking to see such acts of violence. We need to work towards peace and dialogue rather than resorting to terrorism
If perfumes now come with a side of explosives, I might reconsider sending gifts through the mail. Nothing says surprise like a ticking perfume bomb! 💣
Only in Russia do you get bombs disguised as perfume kits—makes me wonder if the next shampoo might come with a surprise! 🎭
Oh great, just what we needed—perfume bombs in the mail! 🎁💣 Who knew sending flowers was getting so edgy these days? At least now everyone can smell the irony as well as whatever explosion they were hoping for.
This situation highlights the complexity and danger of modern conflicts where unconventional methods are used. The use of everyday items like perfume kits to conceal explosives shows how vigilance in security measures at all levels is crucial. It’s also concerning how young individuals can be recruited into such activities, emphasizing the need for better awareness and prevention efforts. Staying informed about these developments is important for understanding the broader implications of ongoing tensions 🔍💥
This is shocking and honestly quite frightening to think about how close such dangerous acts were to becoming a reality. It shows how high the stakes are and how important vigilance is in these times. I hope all those involved are caught and the situation stays under control. Stay safe everyone 🙏💥
Reading about parcels full of perfume kits that actually turn out to be ticking bombs makes me wonder if the perfume industry needs to rethink their packaging. Also, using Russian Post to ship explosives sounds like the most unreliable delivery method ever—no wonder the customers ghosted on paying! This whole spy story sounds like a low-budget thriller script where the villains accidentally bomb their own plans because of bad mail service. Hopefully, next time they’ll send their packages with a tracking number and maybe a ‘fragile’ sticker—just saying.
If sending bombs disguised as perfume became the new trend, I’m suddenly very glad I switched to solid cologne 😅💣 Guess some people really take smelling good to a whole new level!
This is really chilling to read about how close these attacks came to happening. It’s scary to think about the dangers that servicemen and civilians face from such threats. I hope the authorities stay vigilant and manage to stop any future attempts before they can cause harm. Security and safety are truly vital in these times. 💥🙏
